When children are struggling with their fine motor skills, it is always important to take a step back and build strong foundations to help them reach their long term goals. Some children need more care and attention to help develop skills for a plethora of reasons including developmental delays, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)/ Dyspraxia, dysgraphia, exposure or sometimes unknown reasons. Some children can just struggle with one or more isolated aspects of fine motor skills and this may prevent them from being as independent as they possibly can be.
This book will help guide schools, therapists and parents to work through a step by step list of activities. These activities are graded and supported by showing you how to "level up" the activity to make it more challenging or "level down" the activity to make it easier for children who may be struggling. The curriculum is designed to be cost effective by using every day utensils that you will find at home and at school.
